Jason Taylor Returns to His Miami Roots

File Under: Jason Taylor, Miami Dolphins, New York Jets, Washington Redskins

Welcome back, Jason Taylor.

I know, I know, Taylor doesn't like the Jets and the Green & White don't like him. But I've always respected what No. 99 in aqua and coral could do and had done to the Jets, among others, ever since Miami brought him into the NFL as a promising but lesser-known third-round DE/LB out of Akron in the 1997 draft.

Baugh died at his beloved 7,600-acre Double Mountain Ranch in Rotan in West Texas, where he lived and didn't stray far from shortly after leaving the Titans following the 1961 season and being inducted into the Hall'… More

Preseason Sked: Half New, Half Old, All East

File Under: Cleveland Browns, Washington Redskins, Philadelphia Eagles, preseason schedule, Giants Meadowlands

The NFL has just released the Jets' preseason schedule, and as with last year's regular-season schedule, this summer's games have a distinctly NFC East feel.

The opening preseason game will be at the Cleveland Browns. Then come home games against the Washington Redskins and the now Super Bowl-champion Giants. Finally, the traditional final preseason game against the Eagles will be held for the se… More

Pete Kendall Traded to the Redskins

File Under: Trade, Mike Tannenbaum, Pete Kendall, Washington Redskins, Randy Thomas

The Jets are in the process of completing a trade with the Washington Redskins for 12th-year-veteran guard Pete Kendall.

"We reached agreement in principle to trade Pete Kendall to the Redskins last night," said Jets head coach Eric Mangini in announcing the trade at his late morning news conference today. "Obviously each night Mike [Tannenbaum] and I meet, get together and discuss possibilities.… More
