Lito Will Play but Lowery Likely to Start at CB

File Under: Darrelle Revis, Shaun Ellis, Brad Smith, Leon Washington, Rex Ryan, Vernon Gholston, Lito Sheppard, Kris Jenkins, Dwight Lowery

Lito Sheppard is ready to restart the Jets phase of his NFL career on Sunday. It’s even possible the cornerback who hails from Jacksonville will be selected by head coach Rex Ryan as one of the Jets’ game captains for the opening coin toss against the Jaguars.

“I’m feeling good. I’m anxious and can’t wait to get back out there and hopefully add a great asset to this secondary,” said Sheppard,… More

'We're Going Through This for a Reason'

File Under: Shaun Ellis, Miami Dolphins, Rex Ryan, bye week, Braylon Edwards, Calvin Pace, Mark Sanchez

The Jets have reached the midway point of their season today with a 4-4 record overall and a 1-3 mark in the division. After a 3-0 start, which included a signature home victory over the Patriots in Week 2, the Green & White have lost four of five heading into their bye week.

File Under: Shaun Ellis, Buffalo Bills, Rex Ryan, Kris Jenkins, Fred Jackson

"He's going to go on IR. He's got an ACL," Ryan said at this afternoon's news conference. "It's going to be hard to replace Kris. There's not many Kris Jenkins… More

'D' Delivers Near Saintly Performance

File Under: David Harris, Shaun Ellis, Kerry Rhodes, Rex Ryan, New Orleans Saints, Bart Scott

The Saints scored 24 points Sunday to knock the Jets from the ranks of the unbeaten, but their prolific offense accounted for 10. That was a touchdown too many for Jets head coach Rex Ryan.

“We should have held them to three points,” he said after watching his team drop to 3-1.

If you were told before this contest that the Jets would limit Drew Brees to just 10 points, you’d sign up for it… More

H. Green: From Captain to Cousin vs. Cousin

File Under: Shaun Ellis, Sione Pouha, Jarvis Green, Rex Ryan, New England Patriots, Kris Jenkins, Howard Green, Houston Texans, Big Katt

It's been easy being green — not just as a Jet but as Howard Green — the first two weeks of this season.

The night before the Jets' season opener against the Texans, Green found out he was going to be one of Rex Ryan's four game captains in Ryan's first game as an NFL head coach.

"That was maybe my second time being a captain," Green told me today in the locker room at the Atlantic Health Je… More
