Pete Kendall Traded to the Redskins

File Under: Trade, Mike Tannenbaum, Pete Kendall, Washington Redskins, Randy Thomas

The Jets are in the process of completing a trade with the Washington Redskins for 12th-year-veteran guard Pete Kendall.

"We reached agreement in principle to trade Pete Kendall to the Redskins last night," said Jets head coach Eric Mangini in announcing the trade at his late morning news conference today. "Obviously each night Mike [Tannenbaum] and I meet, get together and discuss possibilities.… More

Jets-Vikes: Second-Half Blog

File Under: Pete Kendall, Kellen Clemens, David Barrett, Brian Robinson

THIRD QUARTER

The Jets' downfield pass defense has been good tonight. Drew Henson, the third Minnesota QB, aired one out for WR Chandler Williams five minutes into the second half but David Barrett was all over it and swatted it away.

'It'll Be a Good Time for Everybody'

File Under: Eric Mangini, Brad Smith, Pete Kendall, Cedric Houston

Eric Mangini was very descriptive in the first news conference of his second training camp as head coach of the Jets.

"Most kids like to go to camp," Mangini jested. "This is our adult version of camp. We probably won't be telling ghost stories and stuff, but I think it'll be a good time for everybody."

The coach agreed that this year's first day was a more polished practice than last year's ope… More

Gentlemen, Start Your Engines

File Under: Darrelle Revis, Pete Kendall, Mangini Camp II

Mangini Camp II is off and running.

The Jets took the twin fields at Hofstra University's soccer stadium at 8:45 a.m. today under an already hot sun and a high sky to begin their second training camp under head coach Eric Mangini.

The bleachers were half full, with more fans standing along the fences, and when the players broke from their individual drills, they received an ovation. The first lo… More
