Jets-Chargers: Second Half

File Under: Jerricho Cotchery, LaDainian Tomlinson, Brett Favre

The news doesn't get better for the Green & White. The Chargers march 79 yards for their fifth touchdown of the night in the first 4½ minutes of the third quarter, opening a 38-14 lead on LaDainian Tomlinson's 2-yard run.

ESPN had a fine graphic in the first half, stating that Brett Favre has never won a game after his team trailed by 14 points. And if he is able to mount the first such comeback… More

Crowd Getting Noise as Opening KO Nears

File Under: Ben Graham, LaDainian Tomlinson, Brett Favre, Jay Feely, Monday night, San Diego Chargers, Qualcomm Stadium

There's a bit of a festive air to Qualcomm Stadium 45 minutes before the opening kickoff of tonight's Jets-Chargers game. The fans in the slowly filling blue-seated stands are cheering their 'Bolts and booing their opponents. SHOES: No Need to Play Favre in Philly

File Under: LaDainian Tomlinson, Philadelphia Eagles, Brett Favre

I have to admit I don’t get it. I don’t understand why anyone cares. Start chanting with me: "It just doesn’t matter! It just doesn’t matter!"

Seriously, who cares if Brett Favre plays in the last preseason game? It’s beyond irrelevant. Does anyone really think that a cup of coffee Thursday night is going to move Favre from the unprepared to the prepared category for the Miami opener?

Radar Retrospective: D-Rob in Green

File Under: LaDainian Tomlinson, Dewayne Robertson, Alan Faneca, Kris Jenkins, Denver Broncos

The smart money was on Dewayne Robertson being an ex-Jet before the start of the 2008 season.

Both head coach Eric Mangini and GM Mike Tannenbaum said recently that D-Rob was still on the team and could be on the Jets' opening-day roster. But one suspected that with the arrival of DT Kris Jenkins in trade from Carolina and the mature presences of Shaun Ellis and Kenyon Coleman, it was a matter of… More

The '08 Sked's Monday Night Crunch

File Under: arizona, Eric Mangini, LaDainian Tomlinson, San Diego, 2008 schedule, Monday night game

One of the elements of the Jets' 2008 schedule released by the NFL Tuesday, that jumped out at me was that September situation involving Games 3 and 4.

The Sept. 22 Monday night game at San Diego in itself is nice. It's good that the Green & White are back on MNF after a one-year hiatus. The Jets should be reinvigorated from their off-season acquisitions, their third training camp under head coac… More
