Feely's Seattle Experience 'Made Me Stronger'

File Under: Eric Mangini, Shaun Ellis, Abram Elam, New York Giants, Jay Feely, Seattle Seahawks, Qwest Field, Greg Gumbel

My special thought for this edition of Special Teams Saturday is how goofy reporters get sometimes.

Such occurred to me because of several questions posed to Jets head coach Eric Mangini and then to kicker Jay Feely on Friday. Questions along the lines of: Any concerns about Feely because he struggled at Seattle a couple of years ago? Worries that he'll allow his past performance to affect his pl… More

TC: Feely's Tips for Fan with a Big Kick Ahead

File Under: Meadowlands, Eric Mangini, Buffalo Bills, Fan Appreciation Day, Jay Feely

I caught up with Jets kicker Jay Feely in the locker room Wednesday to tell him about our contest during halftime of Sunday's Jets-Bills game, which is part of our Fan Appreciation Day activities. One lucky Jets fan will be selected at random to have a chance to kick a field goal for $150,000.

Jets-Titans: Second Half

File Under: Brett Favre, LP Field, Tennessee Titans, Dustin Keller, Jay Feely

The Jets get the kickoff and start another methodical march that is beautiful to watch — if you're a Green & White wearer. The blue-clad Titans fans, on the other hand, are sitting on their hands a little bit, being unused to trailing at home. It's happened only once before this season, when Indianapolis opened a 14-6 third-quarter lead here, only to lose 31-21.

It's another Brett Favre drive … More

LYONS: A Game of Coordination, Domination

File Under: Eric Barton, Brian Schottenheimer, Bob Sutton, Jay Feely, St. Louis Rams

According to Webster's Dictionary, the word "dominate" means: "control, be the most powerful or influential member or part of something." As of 5 o'clock yesterday Webster's added a picture of the Jets' game against the Rams.

Let's start on the defensive side of the ball. They were outstanding, starting with the play of Eric Barton (14 tackles, a half sack and a fumble recovery). He along with 10… More
