Tuesday's two-minute drills lived on today at Eric Mangini's late-morning news conference. You may recall from the practice blog that there was some controversy about whether Ray Ventrone knocked Kellen Clemens' Hail Mary pass to the turf cleanly or actually made an interception and then fumbled it back to the offense for a "fantastic finish" touchdown by the offense.

THIRD QUARTER

The Jets' downfield pass defense has been good tonight. Drew Henson, the third Minnesota QB, aired one out for WR Chandler Williams five minutes into the second half but David Barrett was all over it and swatted it away.

I didn't do my due diligence as a sports meteorologist because the early evening weather was not nearly as bad as the morning's heat, more low 80s under a thick cloud cover than low 90s under a still sizzling setting sun.
