File Under: titans, thanksgiving, Flight Crew, Dani

11/25 — AMAZING! There is really not much more to say about the unreal game we played this past weekend to hand the Titans their first loss of the season. We took off on the very first drive and never looked back! Defense, offense, it's all working for us right now and I am already planning for next week’s home game when we take on the Broncos.

Speaking of planning, if you’ve ever met me, you’d probably think it's my middle name. For as long as I can remember, I have always taken pride in my organizational skills, but I don’t think it was until I was chosen as a member of the Flight Crew that they were really put to the test. I had already been working at an accounting firm for over six months when I first made the team and the addition of a second job was a little crazy.

I refused to give up, though; I just could not turn down such an amazing opportunity. It had always been a dream of mine to dance for a professional sports team and when I finally had the chance I wasn’t going say no.

Right from the start I knew I had to plan each day perfectly as I have a train to catch in the morning on my way to work as well as a train back home in the afternoon to ensure I arrive to practice on time. Not to mention a full day's worth of work to complete somewhere in between.

I truly feel that the only way I am able to get through each day is if I have a detailed list of everything that needs to get done along with a general timeline so that I can refer to it throughout the day to ensure I am on target, and if not, how it needs to be adjusted.

Now, if you talk to my boyfriend he would absolutely disagree with my philosophy as he feels it is absolutely insane that I try to plan every day. I would obviously have to disagree and I recommend to all of my fellow Jets fans to give it a try. Start out small: pack lunch in advance, pick out your outfit for the following day the night before, or just get a notebook to write important notes down. It is truly amazing how much time this will save in the long run.

And with the holiday season approaching, time is something we certainly cannot get enough of. Between all the holiday shopping, decorating and preparations, planning ahead is really the only way to get through it all.

For me, the most important thing is being able to manage my time so that I can spend as much of it as I can with my friends and family, especially around the holidays. After all the organization and planning, all the errands and work, there’s nothing better than coming home and having time to spend with the ones you love, and of course watching Jets football!

I hope every member of the Jets family has a wonderful Thanksgiving and I cannot wait to see you all out there at the home game this coming weekend. Oh, and make sure you plan ahead and bring your hats, gloves, and lots of blankets because it’s supposed to be a cold one!! See, my advice is already coming in handy; just imagine what else you could accomplish.

Let’s go Jets as they play for their 9th win of the season!

Happy Thanksgiving to my entire Jets family!

"To World's Greatest Niece: Dani, I can't be more proud of you--I don't get to see you very often but I think of you all the time. You're so wise and get one terrific person. I wish I could see you at one of the Jets games. I proud to be related to you. Aunt Nancy P.S. Hugs and kisses to everyone."
