Can you not be on the practice squad two years in a row or something? What's going to happen to him? Can he be picked up by other teams now? Are there any interested parties? Woodhead has been an inspiration this preseason. The ultimate underdog."
Randy Lange Said:
"To Stephen and all Woodhead fans, I haven't seen that he's been signed by another team. Yes, players can be on practice squads for two consecutive years. We'll let you know where he's headed when we find out."

Mon, September 7, 2009 - 3:48pm ET"Congrats to them all, but particularly to Matt Kroul. He was a real longshot, but worked hard and played very well in preseason. A real meat and potatoes guy, who could be another DeVito type find with some work. Glad to see Cummings on there too, and hope that Simmons can polish up his pass-catching skills to pair with his excellent blocking effort."

Keeping Cummings, Marcus Henry and Caulchik is more important."
Jets Fan Since '64 Tom Said:
Mon, September 7, 2009 - 5:48pm ET"One thing I DON'T get about the Wood story is why you play a guy that much in pre-season if you already think there's no room for him because you got him and more in Leon. Tue, September 8, 2009 - 7:43pm ET"Roger, I wonder the same thing about a new guy holding for Feely less than a week before Opening Day. But having suffered thru many years as a fan of the "Let's Go for the FG Jets," maybe this means that Rex is actually okay with going on 4th and for the TD as often as possible -- THAT sure would be news! Don't know about a trade with Wood if he cleared waivers but we sure don't need 4 QBs, so..."

Wayne Chrebt he isn't and we have more pressing issues than a 4th RB. We still have ?'s to answer with Lito, a backup FB, WR and what about # 50. we must address our needs 1st before we get all mushy and sentimental. I would love too see #22 with the jets but rather our needs be meet first"

He took maybe one hit in the preseason, looked average and gets the nod after less then 20 completions. This league is run by money hungry owners and GM's. If they get paid, they play EOS! Watch Gholston start on Sunday, he played the worst of all the LB's, even the one we cut! Go Jets"

Randy Lange Said:
"Yes, jerod, practice squad players may be signed by other teams during the season, but only to their active rosters, not to their practice squads."

Thu, September 10, 2009 - 12:03pm ET"Pro football is not all about talent, heart and drive also play a big part in formulating a winning team. Woodhead has the heart and drive that is contagious, if other players see him leaving everything out there on the field others will follow his lead. Therefore bringing your trophy to the Jets."

Fri, September 11, 2009 - 9:11pm ET"Hey Randy, I thought S Keith FitzHugh was waived due to an injured shoulder. Why he is on the Practice Squad with a bum shoulder?"
Randy Lange Said:
"Hailey, Keith Fitzhugh was waived but he wasn't waived/injured. His shoulder is OK and he was eligible to be signed to the practice squad."
