Jets Start Streak? None Moore than Brandon

File Under: Nick Mangold, Brandon Moore, D'Brickashaw Ferguson, Alan Faneca, Damien Woody, Kyle Clifton

When it comes to the Jets' offensive line, Brandon Moore has something that none of the other four starters — in fact, no one else on the Jets roster — can have until Moore misses a game.

And that's the longest current streak of consecutive starts as a Jet

"It's just a sense of accountability," Moore said recently about his regular-season streak, which began in the middle of the 2004 season … More

Rex on TJ: 'I'm Certainly Happy He's Here'

File Under: Thomas Jones, Nick Mangold, Kellen Clemens, Rex Ryan, Mark Sanchez, Shonn Greene, Jack Simmons

Thomas Jones looked cut, crisp and cheerful at today's OTA practice.

Cut? Is it possible that the Jets' Pro Bowl back has added muscles to his muscles?

"You get down on South Beach," speculated center Nick Mangold, "you want to make sure you look right, I guess."

Jones Takes the Field for Wednesday OTA

File Under: Thomas Jones, Leon Washington, Rex Ryan, Drew Rosenhaus

Thomas Jones rejoined the Jets today and is actively participating in the club’s latest OTA. After skipping all of the Green & White’s voluntary off-season workouts to this point, TJ is on the outdoor turf field practicing with his teammates for drills at the start of this morning's voluntary practice.

It is widely believed Jones, whose 1,312 yards in 2008 led the AFC in rushing and precede… More

Franks Is a Pro with Unfinished Business

File Under: Chris Baker, Ed Reed, Rex Ryan, Brett Favre, Dustin Keller, Bubba Franks

Bubba Franks' 2008 was not the highlight of the venerable tight end's career. Even Bubba said so.

"I got hurt pretty early, so I was kind of like a fan. I had to sit back and watch," Franks told me last week after an OTA practice. "I disliked sitting on the sideline or even standing. It's something I really never had to do. Then all of a sudden you're on the sideline pretty much watching the rest… More

Kellen, Rex See the Offense's Silver Lining

File Under: Kellen Clemens, Kerry Rhodes, Rex Ryan, David Clowney, Kareem Brown, Vernon Gholston, Mark Sanchez, Jamaal Westerman

Today was kind of Mark Sanchez Day, but it was Kellen Clemens Day as well.

Clemens worked with the ones during today's OTA practice and on a day when the defense was ahead of the offense, KC still came up with a few plays of note.

He dished to TE Dustin Keller on a nice timing turnaround in 11-on-11 drills. In the red zone, he got the right defense and popped a touchdown pass to Brad Smith alone… More
