New Numbers for Green & White Draftees

File Under: Erik Ainge, Vernon Gholston, Dustin Keller, Dwight Lowery, Marcus Henry, Nate Garner

You can't tell your newest Jets without a scorecard, but here are the number assignments for the team's six draft picks heading into this weekend's rookie minicamp. A somewhat interesting note: None of the six has received the same number he wore last season in college.

Some of these uniform numbers may change either for training camp or, for those who make it, for the start of the regular seas… More

A Flood of Shea Memories for These Ex-Jets

File Under: Wesley Walker, Kenny Schroy, Jets Night at Shea, Randy Beverly, Emerson Boozer

Shea Stadium has always been an element-al football venue. Monday's heavy afternoon rains, which forced an indefinite postponement of Jets Night at Shea festivities, was one more reminder of that.

File Under: Chad Pennington, Mike Tannenbaum, Eric Mangini, Kellen Clemens, Erik Ainge

We offer one last Draft 2008 blog to wrap up newyorkjets.com's coverage, this one about quarterbacks.

Specifically, Mike Tannenbaum and then Eric Mangini came down after Round 7 was in the books to give their views of the draft. But both men were asked about the Jets' QB depth chart. Nothing much has changed in how they view the battle ahead, although the head coach and the GM both commented abou… More

Adding a Piece of Arkansas' Ground Game

File Under: D'Brickashaw Ferguson, Darren McFadden, Arkansas, Damien Woody, Nate Garner, Round 7, Felix Jones

The Jets didn't get to draft Arkansas back Darren McFadden in this draft — Run DMC was snapped up by the Raiders two picks before the Jets at No. 6 in Round 1. And they didn't care to maneuver up to 22, which is where Dallas and Arkansan owner Jerry Jones took McFadden's Razorback running mate, Felix Jones.

But in Round 7, the Green & White did the best thing they could in bringing some of that… More
