The Fans Speak Up About the Draft

File Under: Darrelle Revis, David Harris, Paul Zimmerman, Adam Schein, Radar blogosphere

Happy Day after Draft. And thanks to everyone who helped us get Randy's Radar off the ground. It's the first time I've done a live blog and it's awesome to get the amount of immediate feedback and passion from all you Green & White fans out there in the blogosphere.

I wanted to recognize a number of you who took the time to comment about the Jets' picks and trades, the Patriots, the draft in gene… More

Focused on One Thing All Weekend

File Under: draft, Mike Tannenbaum, Darrelle Revis, Jacob Bender, Eric Mangini, Chansi Stuckey, Randy Moss, 2007 NFL Draft

The Jets' strange draft is over, and Mike Tannenbaum and Eric Mangini seem pleased and not too tired after the way it all unfolded — two first-day tradeups for top defensive players, two late second-day stay-at-home picks for lesser known offensive players.

And T. Jones Makes Five

File Under: Mike Tannenbaum, Darrelle Revis, 2007 NFL Draft, Thomas Jones, David Harris, draft four picks

This is already one of the weirdest drafts in Jets history. Two major Day One tradeups to get two of the top defensive players available in CB Darrelle Revis and LB David Harris, yet the rest of the cupboard is virtually bare — just one sixth-rounder and one seventh-rounder in Sunday's final four rounds.

So many will look at the four selections and declare this draft so-so or thin or filled wit… More

Revis Revisited

File Under: Darrelle Revis, Sean Gilbert, Mike Ditka, Pete Maravich, 40 time

Here are some more nuggets pertaining to Pitt cornerback Darrelle Revis, the Jets' top draft pick.

Darrelle and Ty

Revis graduated from Aliquippa (Pa.) High School, 20 miles outside of Pittsburgh. Aliquippa sounds familiar to Jets followers and sports fanatics. He is the nephew of DE Sean Gilbert, the former first-round pick of the Rams in 1992 who grew up there, too.

Ty Law calls Aliquippa his… More
